Bred by Heiner Rohmann, licensed stallion Goldjunge, the son of the famous Bundeschampion Golden West (now standing in Australia), came to Ashland Farm in Canada in March 2023 and competed in summer 2023 at 2nd level in Canada, earning several scores over 70%. He has completed his requrements for Westfalen stallion approval and is standing at Diel Dressage in Hoosick, NY in 2024. He has impressed with his friendly, easygoing nature and wonderful movement. He also loves to jump! He is half brother to our own Delphine DN (sold in 2023) and clearly shares her sensible nature along with his sire’s outstanding movement.

Coming out of quarantine in Canada in summer 2023, Goldjunge earned Canadian Pony Cup High Point Year-End Champion, Open Divison, and Second Level Champion, Open Division. After only being in the US for a week, he was Pony Grand Champion and USDFBC North East Champion Stallion Champion at the 2023 NEDA Breed Show III with very positive comments from the judges, then went on to Devon where he was Pony Stallion champion, mature pony champion, and Pony Grand Champion! He will be competing under saddle at second and third level in 2024.

Goldjunge’s first foal Gershwin arrived in the spring of 2024 and shows many of Goldjunge’s traits, including his striking color.

Goldjunge has completed his requirements for Westfalen stallion approval and will be standing at Diel Dressage in Hoosick Falls, NY in 2024. He will be tested for WFFS and vaccinated/tested for EVA in January 2024.
